Professional views and special interests
Marina is passionate about helping people of all ages fulfil their potential in the areas of life that are most meaningful to them and ensuring people are able to keep active. Throughout her time at AUT Marina learnt valuable skill on how to consider a patient holistically and to ensure that their goals are kept at the forefront of treatment. Skills in manual therapy, injury prevention, exercise prescription are just a few of the foundational principles used in Marina’s practice.
Marina’s main area of interest is musculoskeletal physiotherapy, however she was able to learn valuable skills during time spent in the hospital setting working in rehab wards including stroke rehabilitation, intensive care and paediatrics. Marina is always looking to expand her knowledge and skillset with additional treatment modalities such as dry needling.
Outside of work
In her spare time Marina enjoys a good team game of basically anything outdoors, exploring new beaches along New Zealand’s coastline, taking photos, stand-up paddle boarding and specialty coffee.
