Alice Douglas
Personal Trainer
Alice brings a strong rehabilitation-focused and movement-based approach to personal training, with a particular passion for working with older adults and clients returning to function following injury or health-related setbacks. She is dedicated to helping people move with confidence, build strength safely, and maintain independence as they age.
After gaining her qualification at the New Zealand Institute of Health and Fitness Alice has undertaken postgraduate training in the management of older adults, including specialised education through the Institute of Clinical Excellence focusing on musculoskeletal care for ageing populations. To complement this, she is a certified Health Coach via PreKure and completed Parkinson’s-specific training through Exercise is Medicine NZ, developing a strong understanding of neurological conditions and their impact on movement, balance, and daily function. Her clinical approach blends evidence-based strength and stability training, rehabilitation principles, and individualised exercise prescription to support long-term outcomes.
Alice places strong emphasis on meeting each patient where they are, creating a safe and supportive environment that encourages progress at a pace that feels achievable. She enjoys helping clients navigate everyday activities with greater ease, improve balance and bone health, and regain confidence following rehabilitation. Outside of clinical work, Alice and her husband have a 4 year old keeping them busy and love getting out in nature to explore this beautiful splice of paradise we call home.
